First World Problems

I want to eat pistachios, but I don't want to mess up my nails.
There was too much rum in the whipped cream yesterday, so I had to scrape it off my pumpkin pie.
I got nail polish on the edges of my fingers when I was painting them, and can't remove it without accidentally removing the polish on my nail too.

So I'm sort making fun of myself, but I also really want to know if anyone has suggestions for the last one.  Does this happen to anyone else? How do you fix it? Or how do you prevent it to start with?

I hope all of you had a fun Thanksgiving.

  1. When that happens to me I usually wipe it off with a paper towel really fast right after it happens (and if I mess up the paint job on my nail I just try again). Dried polish is another story though. Can you pick it off? Put remover on a q-tip and target the specific area?
Good luck solving this intense first world problem.

  2. Yeah, I was about to suggest the nail-polish-remover on a q-tip trick also. :P I'd also agree that it's much easier to wipe off immediately after (mis)application, but in the end the best method for prevention is just lots of practice for a steady hand! :)

  3. Thanks for the q-tip solution. I waited for it to dry before trying to clean it up and that appears to be my mistake. It doesn't want to pick off either. I do need a lot more practice.

  4. Happy thanksgiving. By the way, I don't love kittens. Lol.

  5. How did I miss this?! I usually just pick the dried polish off if I get it on my finger.

Every time you comment, a kitten is born, and who doesn't love kittens?
