Mini Movie Reviews: My Future Boyfriend and The Virgin Suicides

So I know I said I wouldn't be posting every single day any more, and I won't.  But I wanted to try a new way of reviewing movies where I just record a few thoughts and impressions during it and don't try to delve into the deeper meanings or analyze the endings.  In other words, this post will be short.  I'm not even going to summarize the movies, but I will link to IMDB if you're curious about them. Here we go!  (You need to read that last sentence in Mario's voice, because that's how it was intended.)

It was called "My Future Boyfriend".  It was on Netflix and I thought a romantic comedy with time travel sounded good, because I'm just weird like that.  I figured it might be a movie that was so cheesy and horrible that I would just turn it off after 10 minutes.  Here are my thoughts, as recorded while watching: it reminds me of Elf and I like Elf, hilarious, the guy's a good actor, the ending was ridiculously cheesy but I loved it, this movie was a pleasant surprise and I really enjoyed it.

I actually expected this one to be good from reading the plot summary.  Thoughts: deep, thought-provoking, sobering, true (meaning that it's not always possible to understand why people do things, especially commit suicide), very well-written and well-acted.

So that's that: mini movie reviews.  I may or may not do more of these, since I have a list of 16 more movies that I have watched without reviewing.  And now I must go make a ton of jewelry for my Etsy shop, which I am opening Friday.
